OIST is an interdisciplinary graduate school offering a 5-year PhD program in Science and 2-6 months Research Internships. Over half of the faculty and students are recruited from outside Japan, and all education and research is conducted entirely in English. OIST will cover your living and travel expenses (PhD students get one trip per year to a destination of their choice). The projects are flexible and you can propose your own to any of the research units.
