I will begin by defining what {Extreme, Intermediate} Mass Ratio Inspirals are. I will delve into a detailed discussion of EMRIs starting with formation channels and event rates then going into the specifics of modelling them using black hole perturbation theory. Subsequently, I will move on to providing a similar exposition on IMRIs.
