Gravity seminar : David Hilditch, CENTRA, Instituto Superior Tecnico — Reaching the future with numerical relativity

Particularly with a view to future detectors it is desirable to calculate more accurate waveforms from compact binary systems in numerical relativity. One source of systematic error from current calculations is that associated with waveform extraction. In my presentation I will give an overview of the status of an ongoing research program in which we are aiming to remove this error completely by using compactified hyperboloidal slices.
