Seminar: “Optical simulations of solar thermal collectors using the in-house software OTSun”

Abstract: Solar thermal technologies can be an important measure to reduce fossil fuel use and carbon emissions from the energy supply. In this seminar, we will assess the optical efficiency of a parabolic trough collector using the ray-tracing software OTSun. The OTSun project is currently being developed by our group at UIB. It is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
