Abstract:
This seminar highlights the ongoing research conducted by the Radiomics Group at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO). Utilizing medical imaging technologies such as Computer Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), the team examines the heterogeneous nature of cancerous tissues to enhance our understanding of disease progression and patient prognosis. The discussion will elaborate on the application of radiomics in identifying and quantifying tumor heterogeneity, establishing its role as a potential biomarker for therapeutic response. Moreover, the seminar will discuss the development of predictive models for treatment response. These models integrate radiology, digital pathology, and genomics data, showcasing the promising potential of multimodal integration and artificial intelligence in crafting personalized cancer treatment strategies.
