IAC3 researchers in the top 2% list

The World’s Top 2% Scientists list brings together the most cited scientists in the world based on bibliometric information from Scopus of more than 180,000 researchers selected from all areas of knowledge. During the year 2021, four scientists from the IAC3 have appeared in the list for theirs single year impact (Sascha Husa, Julien Javaloyes, Antoni Buades and Carlos Palenzuela) and five scientits from the IAC3 have appered in the list for theirs careers since 2021(Sascha Husa, Julien Javaloyes, Antoni Buades, Carlos Palenzuela and David Keitel).

Considered the most prestigious on an international scale, the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2021 list, known as the Standford ranking, brings together the names of the 186,000 most cited researchers among the more than 8 million scientists considered active worldwide, which represents 2% of the total, divided into 22 scientific areas and 176 sub-disciplines.

The ranking was created by experts John Loannidis (Stanford University), Jeroen Baas (Elsevier BV), Kevin W. Boyack (SciTech Strategies) and Richard Klavans (SciTech Strategies). They have analysed Scopus data on the number of articles published, the number of times each research has been mentioned and the length of time researchers have been active. The ranking was published in the journal Plos Biology.
